Mercury windows not only provide you with superior energy efficiency – they also put money back in your pocket!
On February 17, 2009, President Obama signed a revolutionary stimulus bill, also known as The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, providing significant changes and improvements to the energy efficiency tax credits. Windows will require both a U-Factor and a SHGC (solar heat gain coefficient) both less than or equal to 0.30 in order to be eligible for the new credits. This credit has been extended through December 31, 2011.
What does this mean for you?
If you purchase any qualifying Mercury Excelum window, you are eligible to receive a tax credit of 10% of the product cost, up to $500, on windows and doors (windows are capped at $200). There has never been a better time to put Mercury Excelum replacement windows into your home!
The tax credit does not include installation costs.
Please note that this credit is valid through December 31, 2011. View the information here on the Energy Star site.
